Totally bull-crap game at level 4. 6 doubles in a row and I GET 3 AND 1 each time - are you kidding me? Not realistic at all. Could be a great game if it as actually random.

I actually observed the AI removing a piece from the board and hide it half behind the ad at the top of the screen. (I was winning at the time.) I counted the number of pieces I had on the board and it was two MORE than the AI. A couple of plays later, the AI returned the piece that was half hidden, to the Home Field, (instead of the place where it was taken from). Of course, I lost the game.

The computerized player rolls doubles constantly, there is NO WAY its random!!! I can roll a 1 and 2 several times in a row and the game opponent can roll several doubles in a row. It would be a great game if it was fair, but its like playing against someone who consistently cheats!!!

When a player is bearing off and has one piece remaining in its Home Field and the OPPONENT removes the players final piece, the player is automatically declared the winner. What should happen is the piece should be placed on the bar in the middle of the playing field and the player required to roll the dice in turn until the piece can re-enter the game in the opponents home field, then move the piece around the board to the players home field before being borne off. Only if the PLAYER is the first to remove all of their OWN pieces should the player be declared the winner.

While the gameplay is good, the AI is very poor. Even at the highest level it makes incredibly bad moves. I gammon and even backgammon the AI frequently and I am not a great player by any stretch. The video ads are also over the top. If the game were more challenging it might be worth then bandwidth the app eats to show videos for things I have no interest in but it is just ridiculous. All that said, I do enjoy using it as a portable backgammon board to play with my partner while on transit, the two player mode is good and turning off the data means I dont get any ads.

It was a good version. The only drawback was it was difficult to move the chips.

The game updated (July 2014) and the new version has bugs. First one I encountered was after I won game it awarded points to the other player. Second bug, when I had got all pieces to my home, it would not let me take pieces off. This was not user error as I have been playing this game for months. It is just this new version. G

It would be perfect, IF the screen would swivel / move with the position of ipad being held (like virtually) every other game.

Great pastime until ios8. Now crashes continuously, even after deleting and reloading. When you hit app support, you are redirected to to the non-interactive web site. 4 stars when it works. Moving on.

I had this game and liked it, then it kept stalling. I uninstalled it and tried 2 others, but came back to this game, which is so much better!

Great app to learn the game. Watch the computer player as it moves and you will develop your own strategies. Frustration really kicks in when AI rolls perfectly... Whether it gets multiple doubles or simply the only numbers it could use. This is not the game if you are looking for truly randomized rolling

Very slow gameplay, options dont work properly. There are much better games out there.

Its is an excellent game. It is easy to work and also challenging. I am fortunate to be using it!!!
